How durable are the signs?

This depends on which sign series you choose. We offer temporary signs like banners (GSC 110 Series) up to bronze signs (GSC 300 Series) that will last a lifetime. See our Signs Line for details about each Green Sign Series.

What are the signs made out of?

Everything from aluminum to plastic and Eco friendly Green Sign materials. One of the Green Sign Co. professional associates can help you with this decision. Your choice of materials is based on how long you want the sign to last and if the sign will be an interior or exterior sign.

How will I know what my sign looks like?

Green Sign Co. provides a layout for every new order. Our process is to get your estimate approval then you will approve this layout prior to production. Our award winning design staff strives in following your corporate graphics standards or creating an image that will allow you to stand out from everyone else. Our goal is to make sure your sign will be functional, legible, and creative.

What does a sign cost?

Cost of signage depends on the type of signage the customer has approved.  It can range from a few hundred dollars to six figures.  Green Signs can help you establish a budget based on others in your industry, if desired.

How long does it take to build and install a sign?

Depending on the type of sign, this could range from a few days to a few months.  The process of a sign starts at the discussion of what the customer is looking for, what their budget is or do they have a logo to incorporate into the sign.  Doing a professional survey of the site will give the designer ideas and input as to what they have to work with as far as location and size of the store front.

The design phase consists of creating a few options for the customer to look thru and approve. If the customer does not know what they want, an experienced sign company will help you through the process of designing the best match for you and your business by taking into consideration the ideas, your budget, location of your business, the architecture of the building and if there are any zoning restrictions.  An award winning sign designer will provide you with the best options to maximize your current location.

Once a design is approved by the customer, then if permitting is necessary, this process will begin.  Depending on the locality, depends on the time and should be factored into the entire process.  Some can take only a few days, while others can take up to a few months.

The manufacturing stage can take anywhere from a week to up to 12 weeks depending on the type of signage the customer approves.

Installation can range from a few hours to a few days.  This is also determined by the type of signage program the customer approved.

What type for warranty does a sign have?

Green Sign Co. is responsible and guarantees all GSC manufactured products for 1 year from purchase date, excluding temporary signs, acts of God, fire, flood, excessive winds, terrorist acts and vandalism. Some products of Green Sign Co. may carry a prorated warranty (ask for details per product). Ask your Green Signs associate about extended warranties!

Do I get technical support?

How do I care for Etched Vinyl after it has been Installed?

After your etched vinyl has been installed it is very important that you DO NOT wash the glass immediately. Please allow at least 2 weeks for the vinyl to cure and adhere properly to the glass before cleaning. After that, avoid harsh cleaners and scrubbing that may damage the vinyl surface. Use a mild soap or mild glass cleaner and wipe down gently by hand. The cleaners being used could seep under the edges of the vinyl and loosen it, or cause it to not adhere properly. Wiping, especially with a lot of pressure, could also damage the vinyl before it’s adhered properly.

The etched vinyl is applied wet, meaning it and the surface it’s being adhered to are sprayed down with an application solution. Most of the liquid gets pushed out with a squeegee during installation, but some of that solution can become trapped between the vinyl and the glass and can cause what looks to be streaks in the vinyl. We want you to be aware that the streaks are caused by the wet application process and that any marks or streaks you may see in the vinyl after installation is just the application solution that has yet to dry out. Those marks are not permanent. The solution should dry out and the streaks should disappear over time.  We recommend giving it a month to allow the vinyl to fully cure out and adhere to the glass, depending on the temperature. The colder the temps get, the longer it will take. Also, humidity and larger temperature changes between one side of the glass and the other will cause the glass to hold moisture and dry out slower. Waiting a month will give the application solution time to evaporate, and the vinyl time to smooth out and give you that clean, finished look.
